One of the game breaking abuses is to use lonewolf mage to summon an incarnate give it frost shell and fortify and then send it in first, delay its turn and then jump into high ground with my mage using tactical "retreat" meaning i get 2 turns in a row with 7 AP each (since i grab savage sortiliege and pump wits) or 3 if u play as fane.

also if you sneak into the fight with other characters you get to start each of them of from good positions with an opening move such as a knife throw from sebille/ assasinate from ifan/ fireball/rain from ur mage to start you off.
